  • These people have bad business tactics. Watch out for them. I was having an issue with my thermostat and found them on yahoo. They were very quick to set up an appointment for my rental. Went out to the house very quickly but repaired nothing, in fact they did not even call me while they were there. After the visit they called me to UP SELL me (believe it a Plumber that up sells you!!!) on their service contract for the ""low price of $199"". I can get 15% off all of my heating/plumbing needs. Plus an additional $200 for the repairs= $400. No thank you!! Their own tech quotes me $215 for the service contract and the replacement of the thermostat. BAIT AND SWITCH!! He pressured me to give my CC info over the phone, thank fully I did not. It took them an entire day to get back to me with my installation appointment and when I declined after hearing the price over the phone was so different they told me I have to pay a service charge of $69 which they never informed me about. These people are out to ROB YOU! There are a lot of heating and plumbing repair companies in Binghamton, do yourself a favor and stay away from these people. They will RIP YOU OFF! FOLLOW UP: 11/17/2011 I received my bill today and guess what the total was...NOT the $69 quoted to me by phone for a ""service charge"" but rather a $89 ""service tax, totaling $96.12. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!

  • One for all & all for one! A business that gains customers through a corporation such as USAA, should be ashamed!!! It appears that a Veteran who has done a great deal of service for her country is NOT important you. Please keep in mind that word of mouth, internet blogs and customer reviews go along way!!! I will be sure to let every veteran, family and friend I know to not do business with you. ~Another retired Veteran & proud of it!
  • I had this company perform an emergency repair on a Sunday night in early August that cost an arm and a leg (+$700 for 45 minutes work). I chalked the cost up to it being a Sunday and an emergency. To their credit they showed up when they said they would and did a proper job. I called them back last week for a leaky pipe that was not an emergency repair and upon arrival at the scheduled time, their service person quoted me $508 to perform the repair which seemed very expensive to me. The reason this seemed high was the leak was at the water softener at one of the 90 degree elbow joints. So it appeared that all they needed to do was re-solder the joint. The repair person insisted that this was the ""going rate"" for any plumber I might call but I still told him to forget it. I called Pokorney Plumbing and they came the next day, performed the repair and charged me $146.50 for about 40 minutes of work. Pokorney also did a great job but only charged 1/4th the St Paul Plumbing quote. I feel cheated by St Paul Plumbing for the repair they did for me in August. LIve and learn......
