How To Clean Your Bathroom In Minutes
If there’s one spot in your home that receives a ton of traffic everyday, it’s your bathroom. Now think about your home when guests are over – even more foot traffic makes its way to your bathroom!
For anyone with a 4th of July party planned this weekend, we know you’ll want to have your home in tip-top shape before guests arrive, but we also know that busy schedules don’t leave too much time for cleaning. That’s why we’re here today to provide you with the steps that can help you clean your bathroom in record timing:
It doesn’t matter if you choose a plastic bag you had left over from grocery shopping or a full sized garbage bag – just make sure you have something that you can easily throw your trash into. Country Living suggests hanging the bag on your doorknob, but if you have a garbage can that you can easily access, that should work just fine too!
Cleaning the toilet is probably everyone’s least favorite task, so get it over with by cleaning this part of your bathroom first. After pouring a cup of bleach into the bowl, start cleaning the sides and under the toilet rim with a brush, then let things sit for about five minutes. During those five minutes, start working on step number three.
Using an equal mixture of water and white vinegar, clean soap spots and other dirt off of your sink, mirror, countertop and faucet (Country Living suggests putting your mixture in a spray bottle to make things easier). Then, if you have some dirty spots on your shower door that you’d like to get rid of, repeat this step until they’re all gone!
Back to the toilet – now it’s time to wipe away dust that has built up on top of your toilet tank, as well as under and around the seat. Once that’s done, you can flush the bleach that has been cleaning your bowl and then dust down any other surfaces that may have been missed.
You’d be amazed at how different (and clean!) your bathroom will look just by hanging up some new hand towels. Take this opportunity to straighten out any of your bathroom decor and take down the dirty towels and replace with new ones.
Last but not least, it’s time to address your bathroom’s floor. Start by shaking out your bath rug or mat (or vacuum if you’d like), then wipe down the corners of the room with a wet paper towel to clean up any remaining dust or hair that has collected over time.
And that’s all there is to it! Do you have some other strategies that you use to clean your bathroom when you’re in a hurry? If so, be sure to share them with us on social media!
